Why Taurus Makes a Great Blogger
Jul 30th, 2007 by msdanielle

I’m a Taurus and very proud of it. Taureans have very strong characteristics that I feel contribute to making great bloggers. Feel free to chime in on my list of Top 5 Reasons Why Taurus Makes a Great Blogger. Check Astrology.com if you want to read your full sun sign description and start your own list, or if you just want to read it for kicks. Don’t forget to click on the “Click here for more about…” link since most of the descriptions are three pages. So far, they haven’t been wrong.
Top 5 Reasons Why Taurus Makes a Great Blogger
5. Taureans are very determined people. When Taurus has his or her eye on a goal, they persist until they reach the end, no matter how long it takes, or how much work is involved. I prefer the term “determined” over “stubborn,” as some people like to say. I am determined to create a successful blog, and to share my successes with those around me.
4. Taureans are passionate in what they do. Most of the time, I’ll choose to participate in something I have a passion for, even if it means sacrificing for something more lucrative that is short term. It’s why I work so hard on my articles, why I try to get others to participate, and help encourage those who are just starting out like me. I put my passion into my blog and hope that in the long run, I will produce a better site.
3. Taureans are artistic in nature. Having a creative outlet is important to Taurus. I created this blog myself, chose the colors and layout, and even created the banner (not that that’s saying a whole lot!). I’m very proud to have this as one of my main creative outlets, knowing I made it from nothing. Taureans also love beautiful things, and I think bringing people together belongs in that category.
2. Taureans are down to earth. Taurus’ element is Earth. The down to earth and practical qualities of Taureans make it easy to converse back and forth on many topics. One of the most important things for me is to create a dialogue with all of you, but also create a space where you all can converse with one another and discover there are commonalities among us all that have brought our minds together.
1. Taureans love to swaddle in excess reward. This might sound bad at first, but let me explain. After a hard day’s work, or a hard week’s worth of posting, there’s nothing more rewarding than forgetting about work for a couple days and completely enjoying the weekend. Since we’re so determined on achieving our goals, and creating a quality product, we deserve to celebrate those achievements. It’s important to work hard, but also to play hard. It’s why I love going to the Hollywood Bowl, or Daft Punk. Simply put, I deserve it. It makes achieving that next set of goals that much more appealing, knowing there is reward waiting at the end.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on how your sun sign characteristics apply to your blog, or to any important venture in your life. What are the qualities you agree with, or disagree with, according to your sign’s description? And does this framework help motivate you to fulfill certain goals?
Sure, you can argue astrology is fake, but in the end it really doesn’t matter. Regardless of whether or not I truly believe astrology is real, I associate myself with the five points above proudly and try to motivate myself to always be the best I can be — to grow as a person and achieve my goals, to build a strong character, and to help those around me recognize their own greatness. Isn’t that what really matters anyway?

This is a cool post! I am a Leo but never really took the time to see how this could affect my blogging. Thanks for making me think; like always!
thanks, chris. it was pretty interesting when i started to think about it. like, hey, i was meant to do this
@jason - yes, one of my good friends is an aries. aries people love to take on projects and just run with them. and your element is fire…watch out!
“Oh, and on the subject of arguing, it’s the Ram who will have the last word, so save your breath.” LOL now that’s funny. i’m waiting for you to chime in now…
Must … resist … temptation … to have … last … word …
i r t3h fail
This is an interesting analysis, and it certainly falls in line with what I’ve seen in other Taurus’ (two of my sisters also share this sign).
I’m an Aries, and the description on astrology.com is pretty accurate. Past employers knew that if they needed a project started, I was more than willing to pick up the challenge. The little part on risk is also a little funny … does moving across the continent at 22, then across an ocean at 28 with no idea what the consequences might be count as a “fearless trek into the unknown” ?
OMG … Is this comment 2000!?!?
Congrats on having such great reader participation Danielle
hahahaha !!!! hahahahahaha
omg you’re RIGHT! it IS comment 2,000 — WOOHOO! thanks jason for contributing at least like a hundred to that number, if not more! yay!
hey i just found out i am a pieces what can i do? haha
did you read about pisces? my mom is a pisces. they’re very easy going and it looks like they’re very compassionate and charitable people. is that you?
@mike - great to hear you hit 2k as well. sounds like a huge number doesn’t it?! so…impatient and difficult huh? you are also honest in your acknowledgment of that.
definitely, i just need that determined, artistic, passionate, and down to earth person, to bring that out in me, is that you?
I am a Sagittarius and actually not much of what Astrology.com has written really applied to me (especially the junk about religion) until I got to the part about being impatient and difficult. Yep, that’s me
Congrats on 2,000 comments, Danielle. I just hit the 2,000 mark recently as well
Im a Scorpio!… oh and although some of the reasons above may contribute to being a great blogger, I think that there are more reasons than that for you being a great blogger. I think its mostly because you write pretty well and your explanations are always articulate and to-the-point. Plus, your blog is just plain entertaining!
Hell ya, Taurus people make GREAT bloggers. I quilify on all 5 of those levels.
Hi danielle, i have added you in my technorati fave, hope you can return me a fave and join in my technorati chase to 1000!

I tried making a list for my sign last night and couldnt do it! Haha, I wish I was a Taurus!
lol are you an aries?
@browie - see? it’s true! hahaha…
@enkay - thank you!!
i’ve heard that scorpios can be pretty secretive people. that doesn’t seem like you. what do you think?
I dont know about secretive.. shy? yeah, but secretive, I dont think so! So shy, that I just put a picture of myself on my About page! lol
You make a great point! I never knew these facts about the Taurus, but it definitely applies to all of my own Taurus friends!
Great post, Ms. Danielle! I have never taken astrology seriously, but I checked out the details on Sagittareans today and I agree with the whole analysis. The “wanderer”, “enthusiastic”, and “free and easy” descriptions especially applied to my blog–I love to research and focus, but it’s often hard to stay on track!
thanks brittany!
it’s interesting to think about how these concepts apply to us in real life. good luck staying on track!
@empress and johncow - yay for taurus!!
I’m a Taurus too
So reading up on the Taurus in me was pretty enlightening… thanks!
whee, We’re Taurus too. (starsign)
Looking at your blog, I can say that you are definitely a credit to your sign!
thank you michael
Ms Danielle, interesting blog of yours I would have to say after going through a couple of posts. Besides the 5 characteristics you listed, maybe you also really deserve for being creative! Not sure about other signs, but I do come across many people who I know are Taurus and they do seem to share more or less the characteristic you defined. Anyway, I think I do have characteristics points 4 and 5 as a scorpion.
