Tweaking My Little Space

I’m thinking about re-designing my blog soon, since well, it’s so 1st quarter ‘07. 
I sense 2008 will be a good year and I want my blog to reflect that.
For now, I’m tweaking little things here and there that I think will add to my blog’s aesthetics, as well as checking out some new tools. I’ve finally added an Entrecard widget. Took me long enough, right? 
Well for now, I’m currently working full-time and trying to juggle eight mini side-projects after I get home from work. Time is not completely on my side these days, but it’s manageable. I’m sure some of you can relate, yes??
I’ve also removed the AdSense ads from under my header. They weren’t making that much money anyway. I have other sources of blog income here and there, and they’re less obtrusive than the AdSense leaderboard. If you have questions about sponsoring my blog, feel free to contact me!
Anyway, drop me an Entrecard if you like. I’m still working my way around their back-end but it seems pretty self-explanatory. I know my little 125×125 banner is ghetto but that’s as far as my Photoshop skillz can go with no training, and no logo. LOL Do you guys think I should create a logo for MsD?
p.s. I know the widget isn’t left aligned properly; it’s because it’s a script. Try not to let it bug you too much

I also have 6-7 mini projects and I know how it is like. If you are doing a blog redesign be sure you do it before 2008, in my country they say it’s not good to start with new things on leap year
You do not have to change your entrecard photo, it is that what brought me to your blog in the first place. Maybe remove just dot com on the right.
One more thing I notice you have two check boxes here, one is subscribe to comments via email the other is notify of follow up comments via email, aren’t they supposed to be doing the same thing?
that leaves me about 3 weeks to update my blog, i hope i will find the time to do it, it really really needs it!
i think subscribe to comments is all comments, and follow-up is just for this thread.

A big No to `new` logo!.
I think what you have is fine and it automatically associates me to your blog, so many other logos out there are extremely forgetable, only the ones that catch my eye i can say are effective.
thanks for the feedback, neil. i agree the header stands out, but u think i should create a logo for banners and stuff? it’s not my intention to have my face everywhere but i don’t have a regular logo. hmm…
Nor was it mine Danielle, it just kinda worked out that way …. it`s been a good point of difference for me in driving traffic to my site.

Same, mine was 10 minutes after i shaved my bonce at a mates place, totally candid photos but has turned out being one of my best.
Trust me compared to John Chow’s ugly mug being spread all over the web yours is more than welcome!
The logo is already nice but a 3 column template would fit his blog just fine. That is my own opinion but it is really not up to me.
i was thinking a 3-column but under the header would be 2 columns which would split underneath the second. kinda like jonlee.ca
Your blog is a true personal blog so if you tweak your logo, it should reflect you. What you have right now is indeed an eye catcher and does leave a instant impression in my mind when I think of Ms. Danielle away from the net.
As for the blog redesign, heh, I already “redesigned my blog like five time this year due to WP upgrades and love the new look now. I say go for it, I am sure you will be thrilled with yours. Si, I agree with you on Google, it seems to be a poor performer, I think it is all about ad placements and the header is more you than Google.
i’ll probably only re-add adsense if i’m getting a lot of traffic.
ah yes you are running a similar theme to samanathon.com. except yours is 3 column. nice

I’ve been thinking about redesigning my blog for about 2 years.
Look forward to seeing the new design. Redesigning my blog has been on the to-do list for a while…. keeps getting pushed back ;-). Too many other little projects pop up that need finishing first.
Hey Danielle! I would like to see what your blog turns out to be when you start working on it. I would definitely be willing to help you with the re-design if you’re interested (no charge, dont worry!) so yeah. My exams get done tomorrow and after that I’m a free bird..lol. I like the header though because that is so MsD and you have the best type of “brand image” which is YOU! Anyway, let me know what you think!

I like your site the way it is but love seeing blogs get redesigned! O and I think a fresh logo would look good on it!
