So Evil, It’s Inspiring…

The evil one, Mr. Root of All Evil himself, John Chow, has come up with one of his most evil back-link exchange promotions yet. First let me just back up for a second and explain what’s going on. John Chow refers to himself as the Root of All Evil, not because he’s the devil (some may argue otherwise), but because the main focus of his blog right now is making money (the real “root of all evil”). If you go to John’s blog site, you’ll see what looks like your average well-kept blog. Nothing special, right? Wrong. He’s optimized his site so well to make money online, that in February 2007, his blog earned him over $7,000. How’d he do it? Read the blog post for yourself.
Now, getting to his latest promotion, and why it takes the cake for being the most evil back-link promotion yet. First, read his posting rules to get an idea of what the promotion is (It’s short. And if you have a blog, I recommend you participate!). OK, now that you’ve read it, you can see the breakdown of his strategy and how it will work. The benefits of his evil plan:
* Get an insane number of back-links to his site from his readers with the anchor text “make money online”
* Get ranked on page one of Google’s search results for one of the most searched terms in the world, “make money online”
* Denying anyone else from receiving a back-link from his site with the anchor text “make money online,” thus reducing his competition
* Getting an insane amount of new traffic to his site from people looking how to “make money online,” which is exactly his target audience
This is absolutely genius. He’s pretty much systematically figured out how to game Google’s system to get these popular back-links. The bottom line is, whoever has the most back-links with the anchor text “make money online” pointing to their site will almost definitely show up on page one of Google’s search results for that term. Evil? Yes. Inspiring? Oh yeah…

I’m so glad to see that John is using the Root of All Evil Google bomb I came up with!
Seriously . . i knew he was trying to get that keyword for the longest time. I was yelling to deaf ears until BOOM . . da Google Bomb!
His site is so evil, yet I can’t stop reading it
That man kills baby pandas with rocks!
I think every blogger should post the story of the baby pandas!
I think that look really suits him, you should set yourself up as a style consultant
well i admit i have dabbled in cosmetics before… but for some reason M.A.C. wouldn’t hire me — i should show them this pic!
