Shopping Season is in Full Effect - Are You Milking It?
Nov 28th, 2007 by msdanielle
The clock is ticking. There’s only a few weeks left until shopping season peaks and we fall into the January gloom of reduced spending. Are you taking advantage of the spending spree that’s going on all over cyber space?
It’s not too late. If you’re running PPC campaigns for yourself or for your clients, and you haven’t tested ClickRiver yet, I recommend you try it out. Why? Here is my justification.
As for hard data, here are some stats from the Amazon traffic I’ve received this month. The data does not includes sales amounts, but I’ll tell you it’s not bad.

Because ClickRiver ads are served on Amazon.com, you’ll see “amazon.com” as a referrer in your Google Analytics stats. (We do not sell products on Amazon, nor are any of our affiliates selling our products through ClickRiver, so all referrals from Amazon are from my PPC campaign.) While the number of clicks isn’t extremely high, the average pages per visit is 11.42. This is great for a regular e-commerce store, and higher than the average. In addition, the average time on the site from this traffic is 4:43 in comparison with the site average of 3:37. The average sale amount is almost exactly the same as for direct traffic.
Just wanted to send you guys a reminder that you might want to try to milk Amazon in these last few weeks of the year, since as of January 1, you most likely won’t have the opportunity to. To make sure you don’t spend after the holiday season, you can always set your campaigns to end on December 31st. Now is the best time to market on Amazon anyway, and since they’re changing their system soon, you might as well milk it through the holidays while you can!

I’m being kept busy with the upgrades for ttzmedia and what not.. haha. never stops.
But I am milking the good shopping though. Got a pair of deerskin gloves for $24, my favorite Jockeys underwear for $15 each
Good deals..
Gonna get new shoes this weekend, and a new jacket… maybe a hooker… I mean, uh, a portable GPS… haha.
i run a deal site, and i haven’t even done any shopping yet
i see the deals though and i want to spend all my money. it’s sick… jockey underwear, nice…
Sadly, I have not taken advantage of the shopping season. It’s a little different where I live, as Christmas isn’t so big. I did my holiday shopping about six months ago
I’ve been loving amazon ClickRiver so far. Clicks are cheap!!!
heck yea. some i’m paying on google $0.45 - $.50 a click, and $0.11 - $0.12 in clickriver for the same keywords. too bad it’s ending soon as we know it
