R2D2 4 USPS

r2d2.jpgThis is totally random, and might be old news to some of you, but I had to post it! In commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars, the United States Postal Service is wrapping up 400 mailboxes like R2D2 in 200 cities around the US. You can find out in the news article which cities R2D2 will be appearing in, if you want to check him out for yourself. I think they did a great job - R2D2 does really resemble a mailbox!

But it looks like they’re also doing it to promote a surprise promotion that they’ll announce on March 28th. I wonder how much these boxes would go for on eBay on March 29th…

Do they make beeps and whistles when you put a letter in them?

That is too cool!
Is it really 30 years? I do not feel that old. I sure try not to act that old.
