PPC

This page consists of various advertising programs that I’ve used in the last couple of years and that I recommend as an advertiser. They are all free to sign up.

Google AdWords

AdWords is the advertising platform that I’ve gained the highest quality and highest volume results from so far. If you’re unfamiliar with AdWords, or just starting to learn about their system, I would recommend visiting their Learning Center for detailed tutorials on how to optimize your campaigns.

Yahoo! Search Marketing [YSM]

Like AdWords, YSM allows for paid search advertising and also returns high quality traffic, but on a lesser total volume than AdWords. This advertising platform is a little less intuitive than Google’s, but you should see great conversion rates once your campaigns are fully optimized. Advertisers can choose between self setup or assisted setup. I haven’t used the assisted setup so I cannot give a review of this service.

MSN AdCenter

MSN offers advertising through their platform, AdCenter. I would rate their system as being similar in results to YSM — high quality traffic but lower volume than AdWords. Their platform can be a bit complicated at first, but like YSM you can benefit greatly from their traffic once your campaigns are properly set up.

AdBrite

AdBrite’s advertising network allows geo-targeted CPC network ads, variable-length flat-rate ads, site-targeted CPM ads, and conversion tracking, which I feel are their strongest features. They’re also one of the largest third-party networks, serving ads (text, banner, or active interstitials) on over 30,000 websites. What I like about AdBrite is their high level of transparency — I know which sites my ads are appearing on, and can remove under-performing sites from the network rotation.

ReviewMe

Advertisers can promote their products to a wide variety of blog readers through ReviewMe’s advertiser network. Unlike some pay per article sites, ReviewMe allows its advertisers to hand-pick the sites they’d like to be featured on. Just browse through their selection of blogs, and submit your best offer. ReviewMe does not offer a PPC program at this time.
