My Obssessive Thoughts
Apr 10th, 2007 by msdanielle
I guess we all have obsessive thoughts, but I’m not sure if we’re really aware that we’re obsessing over them. Julie over at JuliesJournal tagged me in her Obsessive Thoughts meme. A meme is a question you saw somewhere and you decide to answer it, and it sort of spreads its way around the internet. In this case, Julie called me out, so I’m going to do my part and spread the meme link love.
So, here are five things that I’m aware I obsess over:
1. Time. I am obsessed with being on time. Some people find it really annoying, and it’s not to say that I’m always actually on time. I just obsess about being late.
2. Food. If I’m awake, I’m probably thinking about food in between my more productive thoughts. At 10am I’m usually thinking about lunch. On my drive home I’m usually thinking about dinner. I just ate dinner a couple hours ago, but even that doesn’t stop me from thinking about food.
3. My blog. I haven’t reached the point yet where I’m not obsessing about how to better optimize it, or how to get more traffic, or what I should write about. I’m sure a lot of you can relate!
4. Clean dishes. I’m not a neat freak by any means, but I hand wash all my dishes extremely thoroughly (even though I have a brand new dish washer…which for now is an over-sized dish-drying rack). I can’t stand any crusty specs of dried old food on my plates, or spots on my glasses. And if my roommates use my dishes and wash them, and I notice they’ve been used, I’ll give them another wash just to be certain they’re crust-free.
5. Doing a good job. I know I’m a perfectionist. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but it’s another one of those things that people around me probably find annoying.
I’m always striving to do better and make sure I don’t let down those around me. Do any of you relate to this one?
There are probably other bigger things I obsess about, but since I have ADD I can’t focus on what they are right now. And I don’t want to obsess about trying to find out what I obsess about… Ugh…
So this is the part where I call out five more bloggers. It’s getting harder these days to call out people who are near my circle, but hopefully these guys haven’t been called out yet! Let’s see if they’ll divulge their obsessions:
Little Money - Love this guy’s blog. He’s from Texas. Someday he’ll be Big Money.
Danny Dang - This guy’s funny, and wants to be an internet mogul like JC.
Natron - Cool dude that has a really cool workstation! ![]()
Jon Lee - Check out his blog! Now!
Darren Rowse - There’s no way in hell he’s going to participate, but it’s just for fun. And since almost everyone else I read that might participate has participated (Jeff Kee and Kelly Cho also called me out!), I might as well aim high!
[Remember, you don’t have to be on the above list to participate. Just link back to my post if this is where you first saw the meme. Thanks!]

My Obbessive Thoughts…
It looks like I’ve been tagged by Ms Danielle in a online game known as “Obsessive Thoughts” where you list five obsessions and “tag” five more bloggers to list five obsessions of their own. This is a great linkbait oppor…
[…] Ms Danielle has been tagging people to write a piece on their most obsessive thoughts and Natron nailed me - so who am I to argue. Besides - as part of the game I get to tag 5 more people… […]
