Making My Site Better for My Readers

I added a feature today that I really needed badly, but hadn’t taken the time yet to include. Fortunately for me, Bobs over at ReformatThis wrote a post today about a plugin he created called Bob’s Simplistic Navigation. The theme I’m usingMistyLook 3.2 — apparently didn’t come with a “previous post” / “next post” kind of feature. Thanks, Sadish. jk ;)

The plugin works great. Thanks, Bob! And it’s as simple to install as the name implies. I hope it helps with my site nav. Now I just have to get my RelatedPosts working, and create my favicon. Jez…Bobs…help?? ;)

Hey Danielle,
Check out:
Ms. Danielle’s FavIcon

If you like it feel free to use it, you just have to make sure that you take off the msdanielle_ part from the icon file.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

How’s it look as a 16×16? I had an image I wanted to use that looked real nice big but when I smushed it, it looked weird.

Hm, I had my favicon post scheduled before I read your comments. =P
Creating a favicon isn’t as hard as I thought it’d be.

i know, right? i prob could have made one if i thought about cropping my header image. i didn’t think about that, but i prob wouldn’t have cropped it as nicely as bobs did. ;) i tried making a “MsD” favicon, kinda like the one on sitelogic.co.uk but it looked really bad when i “smushed” it too (using ur lingo) ;) post your favicon article. i’d like to read it. i didn’t get very far with my attempts, i’m sure a lot of people would find it useful!

I think it ended up looking great! Its kind of cool actually, you looking at your own url ;)

Favicons can be easy, it all just depends on what you plan to do.

thanks again, bobs! i love favicons bc it’s easy to spot the sites by logo in firefox (tabs). sometimes i have 10 - 15 tabs open (i know, bad habit). but it helps! :D
hopefully you can get your plugin referenced in the wordpress directory!
