Flashback Friday Volume 7

What do you know about MJ? :D

Last Flashback Friday I told you what my favorite song of all time is. This song is a close second. Hardcore MJ fans might say Thriller was his peak, but I beg to differ; I prefer this song way more. I’ll keep this short — it’s one that you can both sing and dance to. Happy Friday everyone!

Name That Decade!

Guess which decade each of these pictures was taken in. You may be surprised at the answers!

I’m going to take some wild guesses here….

#1 might be the 90s, cuz his nose doesn’t look all funky.
#2 looks like it’s the 80s….
#3 could be the late 70s maybe (is that Paul McCartney? hehe)
#4 is the 2000s….I think

Am I even close?

1. 2000s
2. 70s
3. 80s
4. 90s

My favorite song was when Michael Jackson did backup vocals to “Somebody’s Watching Me”……..

Thriller was a spectacular song…it’s one of the best of all time but it is not the best MJ song. The best MJ song and my favorite song of all time would be Billie Jean. I consider it the perfect song, really…I’ve heard it at least a billion times and I’m still not sick of it. Every time it comes up on my iPod, I’m like “Hells yes…Billie Jean!”

wow your perfect song is billie jean!? i don’t know what mine is. if you like house music, i think an almost perfect song is “home” by zero 7 remixed by Ben Watt. it’s perfect in almost every way. and i do the same thing, when i hear it on my itunes — every time — i’m like, THIS is the perfect house track, in every way!!

Well I have some songs I never get tired of like Daft Punk Is Playing At My House by LCD Soundsystem or Paranoid Android by Radiohead but overall, Billie Jean is the best song of all time.

Michael Jackson made a brief appearance on the insanely popular Japanese show SMAPxSMAP. Every week, boy band “Smap” have famous guests including Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Cameron Diaz, Will Smith to name a few, and Smap chat happily with them like they are real people. When MJ came on though, they all just froze and were completely speechless. It was as if God had walked in the room. Seriously, there’s not one person in the world, not even Queen Elizabeth, who makes people stutter “Oh my… M-M-M-Michael Ja-Ja-Jackson??? Oh, my…I.. I…I…frothing at the mouth in total awe, while collapsing to their knees and bowing at his feet“.

Alright, I’m exaggerating a bit, but here’s the clip on YouTube.

[…] Ms. Danielle looks at the awesome that is Michael Jackson. Personally, I’m a big Michael Jackson fan and could care less about all the weirdness that surrounds him today. I mean, no matter what he does, it doesn’t change how great his music was. Danielle happens to like Rock With You but for me, I still think Billie Jean is his greatest. Danielle also has some good tips for overcoming writer’s block…one of the many on-job hazards for bloggers. […]

Next week should be 80’s and 90’s T.V shows, a little Saved by the Bell in there.
