Flashback Friday Volume 5

I thought I’d bring it back again today with my Flashback Friday feature. I heard this song on the radio the other morning in my car and couldn’t resist singing along…the entire song…at the top of my lungs. This is one of my favorite bands of all time, and when I searched YouTube for this song, I realized I’d never seen this video before, at least, not that I could remember. Like always, feel free to sing along!

My best friend Angelica and I saw them in concert in 1992 (yes, that’s right, there were three encores!) at the Rose Bowl along with Donosaur Jr. and the Cranes. We had floor seats, and they were worth every single penny because it was their Wish tour and performed all my favorite songs. I know, you’re jealous, but it’s OK because they’re going on tour again. It’s not the Wish tour, but if you’re in Los Angeles, they’ll be at the Hollywood Bowl on October 14th. Do you have any memories associated with this song? It reminds me of ninth grade and all the rebellious antics that go along with being 15.

My other favorite Cure songs:

Scary how young some people are these days! I asked some junior high school kids if they knew what a typewriter was, and only one did… she had seen it in a museum!

Get this. My mother just got a job where she actually uses a ball Type Writer to cut checks. I could not believe it.

Nice selection of songs, specially love song, I personally like the cover by 311 for it, Adam Sandler asked them to cover it for his movie 50 first dates, and if any of you have seen it you probably heard it. Anyways heres a for those who haven’t.

I’m guessing that you’re in your 30’s?
Are you kidding me?, the Cure is my all time favorite 80’s band too.
Love Song and Boy’s Don’t Cry are my favorites and Love Cats!

Hmm.. sadly the only Jane I know of is Jane May from DailyWebIdeas/JaneMayBlogs. I was born in ‘87 and according to Wikipedia they dissolved around 1991 so yeah, I was 4 at that time!
