Flashback Friday Volume 11
Oct 12th, 2007 by msdanielle
I dedicate this song to all of you sentimental rockers out there. It’s a tune that’s near and dear to my heart, one that I used to listen to in junior high school, alone in my room…on repeat. Even to this day, it affects me this way, tugging at so many emotions that I have to stop whatever I’m doing and just immerse myself in it again. If you knew this song, you probably felt similar to how I did when I was 14.
Introspective. Outcast. Lonely. Inspired.
Or not.
It was written in dedication to the late Jayne Mansfield. If you don’t know this song, have a listen, as it might make you reminisce about someone dear to you, or an experience that you’ve had in the past, or relate to Ms. Mansfield’s plight. It’s wonderful just to…feel…these things. Feel free to sing along, or just close your eyes and be lost. Happy Friday, everyone.
