Feeling Stumbly

stumble-upon.gifSo this week I’ve been randomly Stumbling as many articles as I can just for kicks. I don’t know why, but Stumble karma seems like a good thing.

I’m leaving this post open for “Stumble comments” until 11:59pm PST tonight. If you want me to Stumble something on your site, leave me a comment before midnight and I’ll get to it as soon as I can. I’ll pick an article on your site to Stumble that I feel others will enjoy, and if I’m able to leave rating comments, I’ll leave some relevant positive feedback. This is just for fun. If you feel like Stumbling something on my blog, please, feel free. :)

Update (7/26/07): Hey, everybody! Thanks for dropping in and leaving your comments. I hope some of you got some extra clicks from the stumbles. I’m not too active with Stumble Upon so I’m only hoping it had a positive effect for you. Let me know how it went.

A couple of my posts got stumbled this past week, and that’s the reason I got stumble crazy. It gave me a couple hundred extra visits, with not-so-shabby Analytics results. Here’s a screen shot of my clicks since last Thursday:

picture-8.png

231 represents unique visits; 1.93 pages per visit; 1:45 is the average time the user was on the site; 93.51% were new visits; and 30.74% was the percentage of people who left my site without visiting another page. That’s not bad, considering it could have been 100%!

Please feel free to cruise through the comments and stumble some of the links I posted. Yes, there was a reason I posted all the links! This will help each of you sustain some more traffic, and give good stumble karma! :D If each of you give each other a stumble, then everyone will benefit. Also, feel free to add me to your friends list here - my name will appear as either “msdanielle” or “alicia1212″ (my secret alias). It’s a stumble party up in here!!

hi Chee :) i’ve stumbled your article here: http://www.miriguy.com/2007/03/24/why-do-i-want-to-make-10k-per-month-on-the-internet/

***hey everyone, please do not leave links to specific articles. again, i will choose the article i feel is appropriate***

in addition, i will not stumble articles on spam sites, or sites relating to the 3 P’s (porn, pills, poker). this is strictly to help those in the blogging community that want a few extra page views. if you visit my blog, and leave me a comment, the least i can do is help you get some extra traffic in an earnest way. thanks!

Thats a great idea. My entire blog welcomes a stumble..lol. We should have “Stumble Happy Fridays” or something where a list of blogs is drawn up where 1 post gets stumbled and every so often we add to that list.

You can really see some pretty amazing results with stumble if enough people click that thumbs up button after the initial stumble of your content. I had one of my comics stumbled a few weeks back and for about a three day period I saw something like 3500 unique visitors and well over 7000 page views. I did quite the little happy dance :)

Ever since then my traffic has been pretty consistent. Not big numbers like those few days but much better than it was before, so it apparently helped me pick up new readers as well.

I’ll of course give you a little stumble love while I’m here :)

Oh gosh I can’t even remember. There were actually several that were stumbled but one of them did extremely well and brought the majority of the visitors. I’d have to go back through the stats and look it up :)

I found stumbling to be a great for getting huge amounts of traffic in a short time but unless you get some good feedback you drop off there list pretty fast.

You need a friend to two to click the thumbs up for your content, its makes all the difference in the world to get two or three thumbs up.
