Binky’s Corner Part 1
Jul 13th, 2007 by msdanielle
Today, I wanted to share a few pictures of my baby boy, Binky. He is just the most adorable thing on this planet, and I wanted you all to see what I mean. It’s even cuter when he sits by my feet when I do my makeup, or when he climbs down the stairs with me to hang out. He’s my favorite little buddy… Enjoy! And…happy Friday!!

“What’s goin on..??”

Just relaaaaaxin’…

Oh, he is so so cute!!! You should get a little video of him in action, that would be great!
You could maybe check out this video, I just came across it today, I know you love animals, so I think you’ll appreciate this!! Great story!

I remember this clip. It’s amazing how this dog functions.
hi melanie! omg i remember Faith! she is so amazing… i love how resilient animals are…and that all they want is for someone to love them
i have a video of binky that i wanted to post as well, but i didn’t have time last night to edit it (it was really late), so i will include it in Binky’s Corner Part 2
get him action being like a hippo. He looks like a hairy hippo in the just relaxing photo
God, he’s soooooo… hmm… Fluffy….. ;p
Binky the Bunny….. Classic good name.
I thought all girls in Cali had little dogs that they carry in their purses…
hahaha…nope contrary to popular belief, some of us have rabbits!
I was laughing at that comment for an entire minute!!!
awwwwww
how smart are bunnies anyhow? Can they be potty trained and told to sit?
they’re not “trainable” really. he can’t be taught anything. but rabbits are habitual creatures, so once they learn that a litter box is their toilet, they’ll always go in there. if you have a new bunny, you put the litter box in the corner where they usually go to the bathroom and they learn by habit that that is their toilet. i started with a big cage so that he didn’t go on the carpet. then you can move it wherever you want and they’ll go in the litter box! so he has complete freedom of my room and bathroom when i’m at work. they’re super social, that’s why he follows me everywhere around the house, he loves to just be near me, basically anywhere within seeing distance
@ed - did you take any pictures?
i think you might have mentioned this before about your friend’s bunny
Next question - how do they taste? Is he on an all-grain organic diet or no?
KIDDING!!!
Like Danielle said, bunnies can’t exactly be “trained” but they do pick up on certain cues. For Roy, my dwarf bunny, he will always come running if he hears the rustling of a chip bag or anything like that, because it’s the same sound as the little bag of yogurt-dipped treats he has.
One of my friends just got a bunny. Fat, fluffy and with floppy ears. I wanted to steal him he was so awesome.
Cute! I miss having a pet. I used to have long-haired guinea pigs and cats (not at the same time!), and I’d love to have a dog one day although I guess dogs are harder to look after.
if i ever have a humongous back yard, i’m going to have 5 dogs (all rescues) — collie, sheltie, australian shepherd, welsh corgi, and norfolk terrier…in that order
Danielle, is Binky a Mini Rex? Looks like it.
do you have pictures of Roy??
awww… i used to have a dwarf holland lop named Precious. she was the sweetest thing ever. very big and very loving. i’m not sure what binky is. i haven’t done too much research on his breed, and i found him as a rescue and kept him so i don’t know where he came from either. i always thought he just looked like those wild rabbits i see all over irvine!
Sorry I didn’t reply to this sooner. If you go to my blog and use the search box for “Roy” or “bunny”, you’ll find some pics and videos.
Cool rabbit! I am more of a dog person, but a rabbit might be a fun pet for me as well!
Omg! He is so cute! He looks very cuddle-ish
Yay! some more pictures! His relaaaaaxin.. pose where he has his ear up is as if he was saying “whaaaats up?” . I dont have any pets
Either way, really cute bunny you got! I have a post coming up tomorrow that you will love!
Nice rabbit. Years ago my sister had a white one
I want a bunny… to feed to my dog.
GOLDY!

i wish binky got along with cats
[…] led me to have this post was when I saw Ms. Danielle’s Friday post about her rabbit, Binky. I had heard about a puppy with a heart shape on its back but it was hard to believe without […]
hey there. i once had a pet rabbit. her name was snowflake. she was all white with red eyes. she was awesome. my grandmother found her outside our house, when she was found you could literally fit her in the palm of your hands! she was so cool.
unfortunately we had to give her away to someone with a bigger space. she grew to be pretty big.

[…] The voice of the person in the clip is pretty annoying, but it’s quite incredible that she managed to get the rabbit to lie on its back like that. My bunny Roy usually feels pretty content when I cradle him in my arms (on his back), but I would never be able to convince him to stay that way on a table. I wonder if fellow bunny lover Ms. Danielle can hypnotize Binky… […]
