An Eventful Weekend
Jun 25th, 2007 by msdanielle
I just got back from Las Vegas a few hours ago, and haven’t had time to fully catch up on emails or articles since Friday! I had a wonderful weekend with my family, and if you’re awaiting an email or update from me, they will be on their way. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well, and posts will be up and running again shortly.
And since I’m on the subject, if you’ve been to Las Vegas before, what’s your favorite casino? buffet? bar? club? I really love Bellagio’s botanical garden, and also their buffet is outstanding. Club Moon is pretty nice at the Palms, too, for dancing and a spectacular view of the strip from the hotel’s penthouse. If you haven’t been there before, why not, and do you plan to go someday? Regardless of what some people might say, it’s a great place for kids. I was literally running around with 16 of my cousins (again, update to come!) ranging from 14 to 40 and I had a blast. To all my cousins, aunties, uncles, and extended family, I love you!!

and now you get to come back to work on Monday . . . . . so fun! hahaha . .
can you tell i’m having issues staying awake today? i think i should have a light lunch…
The best buffet is at the Flamingo…. $20 can’t beat that!
Treasure Island is also very nice, rooms are big, etc
It’s pretty awesome that you do trips with your whole extended family!
yea most of them i’ve never met before. it was sooo fun! how is your china trip going? are you writing me from there?!
@bob - thanks for the feedback. u going again soon?
I went to Las Vegas a long time ago. But ever since I saw Oceans Eleven, I’ve wanted to go back and visit the Bellagio and see if it’s actually like the movie haha.
I can only dream about going to Vegas. Maybe blogging will take me there someday but so far is just a far away dream.
Awesome, Danielle! I’m headed to Vegas for Halloween this year. I’m so pumped.
BTW, thanks for the buffet suggestion, Bob. I’ll be sure to check that one out, no doubt.
I heart the Vegas. Happiest place on earth.
i am going to vegas in 10 days. i cant wait. havent been in a while. i just wish i had some money!
sweet! what’s the occasion?
@derrich - halloween in vegas sounds like it’s gonna be super insane. i hope you have fun! oh yea, and i found out that you can’t golf at the Wynn unless you’re staying there. boooooooo…… wanted to check out their range. if you have a chance to stay there and hit some balls, i hear it’s really nice
@Mario - you’ll get there
Indeed. But there are so many other options. Wynn would be cool though. Maybe you should meet me there and we can get this golf tourney squared away once and for all!
The best buffet is at the Wynn. $40-$50 per person is kinda high but it was some great food. The Best Club is TAO… I will have to go back and try out some other hotels and see which one I like the best.
I’ll be in Vegas the weekend after the 4th of July!!! It’s been sooo long…any tips on the happening places??
I was there last year December for my 21st birthday…
And this summer I will be in Costa Rica for a month. Leaving tomorrow.
slam the $20k on Red . . . . TRUST ME!
Don’t listen to him, JM!
Double down.
Check out Tao at the Venetian.
OH! That was you in the backroom at the stripclub with me… I thought you looked familiar but it was a different angle…
Welcome back! Sounds like you had a great time!
I just decided I am booking another trip.
u gonna rock the ‘fro too? that would be rad
-Vegas is a funny thing - what’s hot right now might be old news in a month…I’ve always stayed at the Bellagio, but their buffet is certainly not the best. The Wynn is pricey, but well worth it in comparison.
-Favorite casino has to be Caesar’s just due to the history and the decor. The Forum Shops are world famous and well worth the time spent.
-As far as best club, you can’t go wrong with Tryst or Tao. Ghostbar has to be seen to be believed and Drai’s is off the meters for late night partying.
You hit the nail on the head with the botanical garden - most people won’t go past the water show outside, but if you’re really looking for something special the garden is where it’s at. You get a close up view of the water show and it’s always decked out to the max!
Great blog BTW!
wow cool you like drais too? most people don’t even know where it is. that used to be my spot back in the day!
and i was at the forum shops on saturday. pretty nice i have to admit. of course, there are so many great places to shop. best of all, they all have amazing air conditioning!
thanks for your kind words. Hope to see you around here often!
absolutely…the barbary coast is an utter dump, but tucked away inside of it is a real treasure. i’ll poke in and out from time to time - it’s funny i had read about the girl that won the zune from john chow (maybe over at jane may’s spot???) who was re-gifting it….this was about a week ago.
i just put 2 and 2 toghether!
did you loose any money???
LOL
